The Impact of our Programs on Communities

The McCormick Foundation:

  • and its community partners raised more than $9.4 million from 47,000 donors to support victim relief and recovery efforts resulting from Hurricane Katrina. The Foundation matched the first $2 million raised at 50 cents on the dollar

  • dedicated nearly $2.9 million since 2000 to programs that promote youth civic engagement and volunteerism in the Chicago area

  • funded the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago to engage over 1,300 local high school students and their teachers in public policy discussions and community service projects every year since 2001

  • funded the Mikva Challenge Foundation to train and place nearly 800 high school seniors in polling places throughout Chicago to serve as election judges during the November 2006 elections
