Guidelines
Grants are made from myphl17 cares fund in response to applications from 501(c)(3) organizations specializing in the needs of children and especially teens. Priority will be given to after-school programs providing academic and social development such as those detailed in the Primary Interests section.
Primary Interests
- Mentoring Programs
- Academic Tutoring
- Peer Leadership Training
From time to time, myphl17 cares may consider grants to agencies that do not fall within these specific giving areas.
Geographic Priority
Priority is given to organizations servicing the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware).
Application Procedures
All requests for support require a completed application form. To receive an application, please e-mail or send a 1-2 page written request outlining your agency and/or the programs for which you are seeking support to the address listed above.
Final decisions are made by the board of directors of the McCormick Foundation. The board meets quarterly and grants are authorized at those meetings to be distributed shortly thereafter. There is no guarantee of annual support.
The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit Tribune Company or any of its subsidiaries. Please note, applications are not available from the McCormick Foundation; please contact the station directly.
