Guidelines
Grants are made from CW Cares for Kids fund in response to applications from nonprofit organizations specializing in the needs of children and serving the greater San Diego community. Priority will be given to those programs that specifically address the mental, emotional and physical well-being of underprivileged children. Additionally, program areas concerning the general health and well-being of children, youth, and families will also be considered.
From time to time the CW Cares for Kids fund may consider grants to agencies that do not fall within any of these giving areas, at its discretion.
Application Procedures
All requests for support require a completed application form to be received at the address listed above. Applications will be considered throughout the year in the order in which they are received. All final decisions are made by the McCormick Foundation. The Foundation's board of directors meets quarterly and grants are authorized at those meetings and distributed shortly thereafter.
There is no guarantee of annual support.
The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit Tribune Company or any of its subsidiaries.
